Coach comments: Men's Challenge Cup

The title holders are going for the cup again as Resita will play against Lisboa e Benfica. Winterthur will meet the Austrian Hard in the semi-finals.

"After watching the Portuguese team in action (their game with Poli Timisoara), we expect extremely hard games against Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Knowing that Portuguese handball is continuously developing, we realise that Benfica are a very strong adversary. This is normal, since only the four strongest teams can reach the semi-finals.

“We believe that the chances are fifty-fifty, despite the fact that we are the winners of the Challenge Cup of the previous season. It is easier to win the trophy than to keep it as all teams are playing with tremendous ambition against us.”
